David Lyttleton

Every so often you stumble upon the work of an artist with which you instantly fall in love; the artwork I'm speaking about belongs to David Lyttleton (you can find him at davidlyttleton.com).

His The Times newspaper insert showing the kings and queens of England mysteriously appeared in the house the other day, despite the fact that no one here reads The Times (I'm not saying you should or shouldn't, it doesn't matter to me which paper you read). His cartoons are bold, colourful and overflowing with character, all of which combines to make an unmistakeable personal style. I am jealous. There's something very familiar about his work, but considering his list of clients, I've not doubt seen it before in some capacity.

Here's his Kings & Queens of England piece, which you can click for a larger version. After you've looked at it, make sure you head over to his website to see more of his great work.

Thanks, I thought so too. There's something endlessly entertaining about some of his characters.
